Transformers 2

July 3, 2009
We took the kids to see Transformers 2: Rise of the Fallen.

The lines were long to get in, so we had high hopes for a good movie.

Inside, we saw this cool motorcycle that we assumed must have something to do with the movie. It wasn’t there when we came out, so I’m glad we snapped these pics.

The movie was very good, but LONG (150 mins). It had more adult language and adult situations than the first movie, which I didn’t like. The music score was great and very heroic!

Ponderable parts (SPOILERS!!):

-In the beginning of the film, the autobots are searching for random decepticons. The weather is cold, and we see warm air coming from the autobot’s mouths as they speak.. Why? Robots don’t heat the air.. Heck, robots shouldn’t even have to breath!

-When the small band of decepticons go down to get Megatron, you hear the submarine tech say “Five objects going down” or something. Once they are down there, the little operator bot says “Kill the little one” and the other decepticons start totally destroying their smaller ally. That should leave four, plus Megatron would now put the number back to five. But when they are assending, the submarine tech says “Six objects assending”.. Whaa?

-I guess “Revenge Of The Fallen” has a triple meaning: “The Fallen” was the name of the original bad guy who created Megatron and wants revenge on the earth. But Optimus Prime also dies and is brought back (and has revenge!), so technically you could say he had a “Revenge of the Fallen” moment. As did Sam, who died and was brought back to save Optimus (thus letting him have his own “Revenge of the Fallen” moment).

After the movie, we at at Crescent City Grill. I had an AMAZING ‘Cajun Enchilada’
