Tron Legacy

I was a big Tron fan, nothing had been done like it at the time. Computers were still new and mysterious, and playing video games meant going to the arcade. In anticipation of the new film, I watched the original with the kids and explained everything as it went along to make sure they understood.. Watching it now, parts are a little campy (walking vacuum tubes?), but the action scenes make up for it..

I was worried about Tron Legacy. Since I pseudo work in film, I thought this would be too “Hollywood-ized” and flashy. But I read this 3D book based on the film and, at least from what I read, it seems like a solid storyline.. I hope it lives up to old-school hopes, as the “young Flynn” effects aren’t convincing to me..
